It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved soul, Patrick Joseph Prevost who departed this world, surrounded by his family at Campbell House, Collingwood on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024, in his 64th year. Devoted husband and soul mate of almost 40 years of Lise. Son of the late Aldège and the late Yvette (née Proulx) Prévost. Loving and cherished father of Geneviève (Jason), and papi of Nicholas. Patrick will be deeply missed by his sisters and brothers, Nicole (Léo) (late Gerald), Gilles (Colette), the late Huguette (Maurice), and Yvon (Monique). Son-in-law of the late Thérèse (née Dagenais) Szydziak. He will also be remembered by his nephews, nieces, relatives, extended family, friends and colleagues.

Patrick was a beacon of love and wisdom, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. His unwavering devotion to his wife Lise and daughter Geneviève, and his warm embrace for his son-in-law Jason and grandchild Nicholas, created a tapestry of love and made him a real family man. To his daughter, he was the epitome of strength, devotion, wisdom, and love, always providing a steady hand and a compassionate heart. An avid lover of the outdoors, Patrick found solace in nature's beauty. Whether it was a quiet walk in the woods or a shared family fishing adventure, he reveled in the wonders of the world around him. His love for his family extended beyond blood ties, embracing everyone with his comforting presence that left a lasting impression. As we mourn his physical absence, let us celebrate his beautiful legacy. A man of strong faith who trusted in the Lord, he leaves behind a testament to a life well-lived and one of a pure heart.

The family is so grateful for the care and kindness of Dr. Alyssa Boyd and all the staff at Campbell House. They are true angels on earth who allowed his final journey to be that of dignity, respect, grace, and especially of love. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 26th, 2024, at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 63 Elgin Street, Collingwood at 10:30a.m. A time of fellowship with his family and close friends will be held at a private venue following Mass. If desired, a donation in Patrick’s name may be made to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House or to Fifth Street Creative Initiative in which the family expresses gratitude. May his memory be a source of strength, comfort, and inspiration to all who knew him.

“Just love, love, love; shalom…”
