PERRIER, Richard Marcel 'Rick'

Died peacefully at home on Monday, October 2, 2023 at the age of 68. Rick, of Collingwood was the beloved husband of Melody for 44 years. Loving father of Marc, Diana (Wayne) and Yvette (Ken). Cherished grandfather of Cynthia, Gwen, Averie, Haven, Dean and Liam. Dear brother of Roger (Carolyn), Gerry (Iris), Ron (Cheryl), Guy (Karen), Ginette, Rene, the late Gil (Dorise) and brother-in-law of Marg Lewin (late John). Lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Rick was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing and hunting with family and friends in all seasons. He took great pride in his involvement with the Georgian Triangle Anglers Association, where he regularly coordinated events such as the Christmas parade. His booming voice and joyous demeanor allowed him to easily fill the roll of Santa for many events. Rick made many friends while working at the Collingwood Good Year plant for 30 years, where he was affectionately named 'Frenchie'. Rick’s rhythm and love for dancing will leave a hole in family celebrations for years

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Chatterson Funeral Home on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 12:00p.m. to 1:00p.m., where a Celebration of Rick's life will be held in the chapel at 1:00p.m. A reception and sharing of memories will follow the service at the Salvation Army Church, 162 Ste Marie Street, Collingwood. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rick to the Salvation Army Food Bank or Georgian Triangle Anglers Association would be appreciated by the family.
