Morrison, Mildred Shirley

Our mom, Mildred Shirley Morrison (née Graham) has gone Home, reunited with the love of her life, our dad, Don on September 4, 2023

Born in Blue Mountain, Collingwood, Ontario September 13 1932.

She will be dearly loved and missed forever by her daughters Linda (Arthur), Barbara (Larry), grandchildren Donavan (Hollie), Skye (Pino), Rebecca (Ray), Timmithi (Jen), great grandchildren, Charlene, Aurora, Matias and Mad, and great-great grandchild Kiya. Survived by her siblings Ruth (late Ken), late Gar (Liz) and David (Lynn) as well her brother in-law Jim Morrison (Pat) - each one close to her heart. All her nieces and nephews will miss her as everyone has so many fond memories. Predeceased by her parents Ina and Thomas Graham. Our mom had a rich full life, family being the most important thing. There was always room at her table for friends, a hot cuppa tea and cookies. Her ability to sooth another’s troubles was a gift to us all.

Mom was surrounded by love all her life, giving it freely and without reservation. Our sincere thanks to the staff at Garden City Manor and Rapelje Lodge for their compassion and excellent care, to our family and friends who have supported mom and us through out this journey.

The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Wednesday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Armstrong Chapel on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Wainfleet.

Our family knows mom’s legacy of caring for others - people, animals and precious children can be furthered by donations to these charities in lieu of flowers, Port Cares, Port Colborne Feline Initiative and Sick Kids Foundation. Online photos, memories and condolences may be shared at www.armstrongfuneralhome.ca
