Shirley Lucille passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 27, 2021, at Creedan Valley in her 93rd year. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Clare, daughter Sharon (late Lou) Boyd and granddaughter Melanie. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Mike (Mary), Brian (Ella) and Sandra (Jim) Doherty. Forever cherished by her grandchildren Deidre (Dante), Taylor (Brielle), Patricia (Greg) and Scott; great grandchildren Danny, Eric and Kaitlyn and missed by Theresa, Terry, Joe, Tom, and their families. Shirley was born in Barrie to parent George and Margaret Granger, she is survived by her sister Helen (the late Jim) Foster, brothers Jim (late Jean) and Ronald (late Carol); predeceased by sisters Joan (Fred) Boxall, Pat (Gord) Harrison and brother (Russell) Glenna (Granger). She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Creedan Valley for their kindness and care. The funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, 140 Maple St. Collingwood on Tuesday November 2, 2021, at 1 p.m. Interment at Trinity United Cemetery. As capacity limits remain, please RSVP on the funeral home website to attend. The service will also be available by livestream.
