October 10, 1948 – November 11, 2022

After 47 years of love and laughter, I said goodbye to my best friend, Barry.

At the young age of 74, Barry’s life was cut short by a rare, incurable, very progressive neurological disease.

Even though Barry lived with debilitating chronic pain for more than 40 years, he had a brilliant sense of humor.  He was a kind, smart, and compassionate GENTLEman.  He was quick to lend a hand to anyone and often said that if you had the tools, you could fix anything.

Barry had a career as a Real Estate Appraiser and had his own business in the London, Ontario area for more than 25 years.  Because of his honesty, consistent accuracy, and integrity he was well respected by his clients and his peers.

With the end of his life on Earth unexpectedly advancing swiftly, Barry accepted his fate with grace and never lost his quick wit and ability to joke.

He is survived by the love of his life, Judy, his son Craig, daughter Megan, son-in-law Mike, and 4 beautiful grandchildren, Tristan, Skylar, William and Connor.  Predeceased by his son Barry Alan.

Barry chose cremation and no formal funeral.  With the choices that Barry has made he is at peace and is hopeful that his next chapter will be pain free.

A celebration of the love and life of Barry will be held in Wasaga Beach at a later date.

In lieu of flowers please send your love and hugs to Judy and the family. To sign Barry’s Book of Memories, please visit www.carruthersdavidson.com
