Passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 21, 2024, at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital with family by her side.
Joyce was predeceased by her husbands Wayne Maxwell and Charlie Keith.
She was the much-loved mother of Ian (Marg) and Evan (Shawna-Raye) Maxwell and proud grandmother of Cody (Kaurel), Candie, Gabriel (Jonathan), Kalleigh and Lily-Jade and great grandmother of Brooke, Meadow, Lyla, Stella, Ellis, Willow, and Atlas.
She will be remembered by Charlie’s children Sandra (Chuck) Buckley and Greg (Shirley) Keith and grandchildren Heather, Hilary (Dougal), Michael, and Amy (Brian) and great grandson Aiden.
The eldest of four children born to parents William and Isabelle McMaster, Joyce was predeceased by her brothers Walter, Bill, and Jim. She will be deeply missed by her sister-in-law Shirley McMaster and remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was a strong and determined woman, with a kind and generous heart who worked hard as a single mom to raise her boys. Her family near and far meant the world to her and she cherished the time she spent with them.
She was a member of the Legion, Collingwood Leisure Time Club, and longtime member of First Baptist Church. During life’s challenges and losses her spirit, resilience and her faith was unwavering. Joyce left a legacy of love, strength and caring. She will be missed but never forgotten.
A service of remembrance will be held at First Baptist Church, 160 Pine St. Collingwood at 2 p.m. on Saturday May 25, 2024, with a reception to follow.
