Remembered as a loving partner, supportive mother, and grandmother full of zest and adventure.

Jean is also remembered as a capable and innovative advocate in the field of senior’s health care. Trained in nursing at the Brantford General Hospital, her career in senior’s care spanned 40 years during which she developed and administered senior’s care programs in a number of facilities across Ontario. She began her career in senior's care in St. George Ontario and continued in the Brantford area as Administrator of Brant Avenue Manor and Versa Care Park Road Facility.

She led Versa Care’s expansion in Paris and Cambridge overseeing administrative operations of Telfer Place & Riverbend facilities respectively. Jean expanded her geographic and pioneering influence by opening and operating Retirement & Long-Term Care facilities across Ontario including those in Peterborough, Kincardine, and Thornbury.

After her tenure in Seniors Care Administration Jean retired from administrative duties at Errinrung in Thornbury and continued to live in the Collingwood/Wasaga Beach area. Always an active member of the community in which she lived, she was an organizer and supporter of Brantford Church Hockey while in Brantford and equally active as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 63 in Collingwood.

Jean was known to family and friends as a competitive card player and enjoyed organizing and playing in matches and tournaments. Jean was also known for her frank honesty, hard work, and unconditional love; always encouraging her family and friends in whatever their pursuits. While her accomplishments were many, she was ever proud of her family.

Jean leaves behind her beloved partner, Dougal MacGregor; her children Karen (James) Candy, David (Robin Thiel) Lune, Kevin (Karen) Lune and their father, Paul Lune; her grandchildren, Spencer Candy (Jonathon Bingeman), Victoria Candy (Christopher Bajc), Bennett Candy (Josselyn Hudasek), Declan Lune, Ailis Lune, Sinead Lune, Reid Lune, and Ella Lune.
