Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at Campbell House Hospice on Wednesday March 29, 2023 in his 87th year. Helmut of Collingwood, formerly of Owen Sound, beloved husband of Helga (nee Heissler) for over 63 years. Loving father of Birgit Hulme (Steve) and their children Natalie, Kimberly (Mike) and their daughter Veyda, Heike Decaria (Robert) and their son Lucas, Roland Link (Tonya) and their children Jakob and Erika. Helmut was born in Mannheim, Germany and met his sweetheart, Helga while attending school. Always keeping busy with what he enjoyed most fishing, building, vacationing, being outdoors or just relaxing in the sun. Helmut enjoyed tinkering with his Chevy Corvette. He always enjoyed time with his family. The family wish to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff at Campbell House, it was greatly appreciated. A private family service will be held at the Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood.
