LEAL, Anna Cathrine 'Annie'

Passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, June 9, 2023, in her 88th year. 

Annie was the beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Leal, and adored mother to Cathy (Jim) Bell, Rob (Janeen), Mike (Debbie Ball), Cindy (Mike) Muller and Kari (James) Mirrlees. She will be incredibly missed by her grandchildren Meaghan (Traian), Michael (Montana), Spencer (Jaden), Kyle (Brooke), Leyna (Matt), Jena (Kris), Justin (Danielle), Andrew, Adam (Korey), Nicholas (Emily), Madison, and Emma (Adam), and her great grandchildren Lennox, Lincoln, Benner, Hudson, Livi, Emery and Malory. 

Annie was one of eight children born to parents Samuel and Kathleen McLeod. She was predeceased by her siblings Elizabeth, Sam, Charlie, Sandy, John, Mary, and Roger. Also predeceased by her daughter in law Debbie Leal. Her many nieces and nephews will remember her with respect and fondness. 

Annie was a Bell Pioneer, she worked for 35 years as an operator while managing a busy household and raising 5 children. Family was her priority, from her children to grandchildren she was devoted to caring for those she loved. A longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, Annie had a strong faith and comfort in knowing she would be in the hands of God. She meant the world, to not only her family, but to everyone who knew her, she made people feel special. She was funny, she had a way to always make people laugh. She will be missed but never forgotten.

Family and friends will be received for visitation at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel on Monday June 12, 2023, from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at First Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. on Tuesday June 13, 2023. Interment to follow at First Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Annie’s memory may be made to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House.
