Died peacefully on Friday August 26, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at Campbell House, Collingwood at the age of 80. Rose of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of Dennis for over 55 years. Loving mother of Dennis (Danielle) and jean-Paul (Sue John). Cherished grandmother of Thane, Koby and Julia. Dear sister of Reginald, lea, Blanche, Marsha and Regeanne. Rose was a caring woman who cherished her family. She loved having everyone together for a meal and was known for her pasta sauce and her peanut butter fudge. She was a ‘goer’, staying active and always finding some way to help out. She enjoyed Bingo and has many friends from the various local games. She will be missed. Private family arrangements. If desired, a donation to Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation, the Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation or the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation.

Those to Thank:

The wonderful staff at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre

Dr. Ken Russel and all the staff at the cancer treatment centre

Dr. Mike Lewin, Rose’s family physician, for all the extra time he spent, phone calls and visits.

Palliative home care staff, Melanie Purdy, home care coordinator, patty, Rose’s LPN for her extra support, love and compassion along with other staff members from palliative home care

Vitale air home oxygen, Crystal Anderson for her compassion and very quick turn around

Collingwood General & Marine Hospital – the staff there were all super heroes. They made mom feel as if she was the only patient on the floor.

All her friends and family in her last weeks that took time out of their lives for visits, phone calls and such. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Carruthers & Davidson for your services, compassion and timely care of my parents affairs.

Campbell House hospice – These people at this facility from the very second my family entered their doors, treated all of us as if my mom was their mom. So much love, support, care, kindness, compassion, light hearted jokes, hugs and warm touches. We have never experienced this from total strangers in our lives.

All the staff are angels, you cared for, loved and respected the wishes of a lady that knew she was on her way out and you treated Rose like she was your mom too.

Love you all and thanks again,

The Lapierre family
