Landolt, James “Jim” Richard, CPL, RCAF
Died peacefully at PeopleCare Nursing Home, Meaford on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at the age of 91.
Jim of Wasaga Beach, was the beloved husband of Shirley for 70 years. Loving father of Sherry, Joe (Kristine), Steve (Kathy) and Rob. Cherished grandfather of Ryan (Erin), Heidi (Chris), Jennifer (Dustin), Jamie (Hillary), Daniel (Greg), Mandy (Max), Will and Nicholas. Treasured great-grandfather of Lucas, Cohen, Caston, Abby, Ben, Cassie and Brianna. Lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Jim spent over 21 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force, serving overseas in France as well as in 5 different provinces in Canada in air traffic control. He was a very outgoing person who had many friends in music, small town politics, local business and the Royal Canadian Legion. He had a great sense of humour, was a devoted family man and was always willing to help others. Later in life he was a dedicated volunteer playing music at Collingwood Adult Day Programs established by the VON, until health problems curtailed those activities. He fought and recovered from prostate cancer in his later years. He was dearly loved and is sadly missed by all of us.
