Passed away on January 2, 2024 under the care of staff at Sunset Manor, Collingwood, at the age of 81, after having endured a lengthy illness with Lewy Body Dementia. Allan was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Dianne, in 2016. Father of Neila (Lucas Longman), and grandfather to Mairenn. Allan was an avid angler and outdoorsman - happiest fishing on Georgian Bay, the Nottawasaga River, or in local streams. Allan was also a keen gardener, dog lover, seasoned Euchre and Cribbage player, and devoted Leafs fan.
Although it has been many years since he lived in Wasaga Beach, a town he loved dearly, Allan will be remembered fondly by friends, neighbours, and members of local clubs and organizations for his willingness to contribute his time and to lend a hand.
