Hunter, John “Jack”
A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend; Jack Hunter passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Jack, of Wasaga Beach, was the beloved husband of the late Beth Hunter (2002). Loving father of Kim (Mike), Kevin (Kim), Karen (Shawn), and Kris (Don). His pride and joy were his grandchildren Kasie, Keith, Korianne, Melissa (Corey), Ryan (Vanessa), Meghan (Cameron), Kayla, Nick (Tina) and his great-grandchildren Andrew, Sophie, Conner, Ethan, Jaxon, Lauren and Declan. Jack will be dearly missed by his long-time companion Cathy Reid, her children Chris (Shannon), Bryan (Lisa) and grandchildren Michael, Mira and his best buddy Harley. Sadly missed by his brothers Orvis (Iris), Doug (Mary), sister Helen (Gordon) and sisters-in-law Lois, Judy (Bill) and Cheryl. Jack was predeceased by his brother Garnet, and brothers-in-law Warren, Ted and Butch (late Sandy).
Friends are invited to join the family for visitation at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 11 am for the memorial service in the chapel at 1 pm. A reception will follow at The Clubhouse, 134 Greenway Drive, Wasaga Beach. Interment will be held in the spring at Ebenezer Cemetery.
