It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dave Hockley on Tuesday July 4, 2023, at the age of 74.
Dave is now reunited with his loving partner Elaine Desroches who died May 21, 2023. He will be remembered as the proud and loving father of Jim (Jessica) and Jennifer (Bob) and cherished grandfather of Claire, Chloe and Hunter. Born in Collingwood to parents the late Herbert and Marion Hockley, Dave is survived by his brother Terry (Barbara). Also remembered by Judy Hockley (Bill). Dave owned Golden Fish and Chips, a local favourite for many years until his retirement in 2017.
Retirement meant more time for trips to his happy place, the casino where he could be found playing the slots. He loved spending time at the hunt camp in Kincardine and will be missed by his hunting group and friends.
As per his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association in Dave’s memory. Friends may visit Dave’s online Book of Memories at www.fawcettfuneralhomes.com
