HISEY-RAFATI, Ruth (nee Atkinson)

Died peacefully on Tuesday October 24, 2023 at the Stayner Care Centre at the age of 93. Ruth, beloved wife of the late Joe Rafati. Loving mother of Rob (Peter Bowie), Helen (Chris Broadbent) and Rodger. Cherished grandmother of Jesse Reesor, Nick (Janine) Broadbent and of great grandsons Brody and Nixon Broadbent. Ruth is predeceased by her siblings Howard, Delbert, Joyce and Roy, her parents Ervin and Lillian. Ruth led an exciting and eclectic life. She was an accomplished musician, a homemaker, a tour guide having travelled to the Holy Land over 55 times, an artist and a devoted mother. She was a no nonsense, strong willed woman who put her family and friends first. She will be deeply missed. Friends are invited to join the family at Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 for a memorial service in the chapel at 1pm. Private interment at Stayner Union Cemetery. If desired, a donation to Stayner Care Centre would be appreciated by Ruth’s family.
