Passed away peacefully at Bay Haven Care Community, Collingwood on Monday, July 18, 2022, in her 89th year.
Beloved wife of the late Colin Neil Higdon (2018). Loving mother of Bonnie (Richard) Everson, Brendon (Ruth), Christine (Stan) Cumby, Debbie Speers, Colin (Barbara), Bruce (the late Lori Higdon), Zelda Low, Roxanne (the late Wayne denBok) and Wade (Deborah Bloxam). Dear grandma of 17 and great-grandma of 19. Dear sister of Dick Wheadon (Heather), Zula (Walter), Angus Wheadon (the late Tina), Jack Wheadon (the late Jean) and Joyce Noftle (the late Warren). Delores is survived by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Edward Wheadon and Mary Jane (nee Kennel) Wheadon, one infant son. Delores raised her family and took her first job after the kids were old enough as a dishwasher and always wore her high heels to work. She worked for Burger Bobs and Iron Skillet. Service will be held at the Clearview Community Church (Nottawa Campus), 20 Batteaux Road, Nottawa, on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 1p.m., with visitation one hour prior.
