Born October 24, 1940 and left us peacefully on August 3, 2023 with his devoted wife Julie by his side.

A natural athlete who spent his summer days walking on his hands while growing up on a small farm in Ridgetown, Ontario. His love for sport leading to a decades long participation in hockey and baseball.

A chance recruitment at Agricultural College resulted in a lifelong career including many hardworking decades of business ownership in retail lumber and building supply.

Ken was a humble man who was most at peace when outdoors whether working or with fishing rod in hand. He always lived life on his own terms and enjoyed many years of retirement with Julie in Florida, Parry Sound and Collingwood doing what they loved best.

Ken will be very missed by his wife Julie and daughter Suzette (Erik), step daughter Lisa (Charlie) and step son Ken (Wendy). Predeceased by parents Peter and Godelieve and brother Ron (Nancy). Survived by daughter LeeAnne (Charles), son Philip (Nancy), brother Wayne (Helen), sister Mariane and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Survived by sisters-in-law Teri, Janet and Nancy.

We will celebrate Ken with an informal celebration at Fawcett Funeral Homes, Collingwood Chapel, 82 Pine Street on Wednesday August 30, 2023 from 4-7 in the afternoon for those of you who would like to pay your respects. A private interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the General & Marine Hospital Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice in Mr. Havens memory.
