HARVEY, MARJORIE ELIZABETH (nee Fisher)
Died peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2023, four days shy of her 99th birthday. Marj of Stayner, beloved wife of the late Ivan Harvey (1968). She is survived by her sons Roger (Audrey) and Murray, Granddaughter Anita (Brian Dunlop) and great grandchildren Kaitlyn and Lucas Dunlop.
She will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews; her many friends and neighbours. Marjorie is predeceased by her brothers Nelson, Albert, Alex and Craig; and her sisters Pearl Craig and Edna Howlett. She was a caring and kind woman who will be missed by all who knew her.
Marjorie enjoyed sewing and gardening, loved to dance, play euchre and volunteer within her community. She was a member of the Jubilee Presbyterian Church, Stayner; and helped with the Willingworkers, Stayner Line Dancers and past member of the Jacks Lake Women’s Institute.
The family would like to extent a special thank you to the staff of the Stayner Care Centre for the thoughtful and compassionate care provided these past years. As per Marjorie’s wishes there will be no funeral service. Following cremation, a private family burial at Stayner Union Cemetery will take place at a later date. If desired, donations in Marj’s memory may be made to the Jubilee Presbyterian Church, Stayner or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
