Died suddenly on Wednesday February 21, 2024 at the age of 77. Roy of Wasaga Beach, formerly of Brampton, beloved husband of Anne. Loving father of Paul (Debbie Tuchow-Gudnason) and Stefan (Leslie Muller). Cherished grandfather of Rebecca, Tyler, Mary-Jane and Cordova. Dear brother of the late James, Lloyd (Diane), Fredda Stevenson and Shirley (Rick Osmars). Dear brother-in-law of Doug (Anne) Brown. He will also be missed by Debbie’s parents Jerry and Doris Tuchow, his canine companions Minnie Mouse and Bonnie, his many friends, his neighbours and his fellow railroaders.
Roy was a life long railroader, retiring after 43 years from CN as manager of operating practices. He returned as a training consultant shortly after retirement and was teaching a class at the time of his passing. Roy was an active man, enjoying golf, slo-pitch, badminton, was a champion darts player, was involved with Scouts Canada and a member of the Wasaga Beach Lions Club. Above all he was a dedicated grandfather, husband, father and dog lover. He will be deeply missed.
Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Saturday March 2, 2024 from 1 p.m. for the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 3 o’clock.
