GRIEVE, Ardiel David

Died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday December 17, 2023 at the Mill Creek Care Centre in Barrie at the age of 78. Ardiel, formerly of Stayner, is predeceased by his wife Pam and by his parents, Jack and Grace Grieve.  He was the dear brother of Sharon (Jim Holland) and Shirley Irwin. Cherished uncle of Dawn Marie (Bob Martin), Melissa Irwin, John (Jackie) Irwin, Mathew (Jennifer) Holland and Lindsay (Richard Lewis) and his great nieces and nephews Hailey, Jonathan, Lucy, Ella, Logan, Ronan, Lincon and Nova.  Ardiel farmed and raised cattle for much of his life in Stayner. He was a proud member of the Cattlemen’s Association and was a Farmer of the Year recipient. Ardiel enjoyed sharing many stories with visitors to his farm and was a kind man always willing to lend a hand to his friends and neighbours.  Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m.  The Memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 219 Scott Street, Stayner on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 1 o’clock.  Reception to follow.
