Bill, best friend and husband of Ainslie Fry (nee Johnston), father of Cheryl Fry and husband Oivind Aareskjold, Shelly Hornicke and her husband Mike and Rob Fry. Respected and loved step-father of Ainslie’s sons Jason McCorquodale and his wife Tracy and Brandon McCorquodale and his wife Christa. Grandfather of Steve Kennedy and his wife Mel Patina and great grandpa of their son Fraser. Adored and cherished grandpa of Ewan, Kylie and Kaylen McCorquodale. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Elizabeth Johnston and his dearest friend Suzanne Johns.

Bill loved his family and was always there to do anything for them and his friends.

He will be missed by his sister Susan Fry Colyer and Bert Green, sister Lynn Maxey and her husband Gord, nephews Brian Colyer, niece Amiee Colyer McGuire and her husband Jamie, nephew Jason Maxey and niece Julie Maxey, along with so many friends, especially business partner and best bud Bill Woods as well as his buddies Ken Harris and Matt Westhaver.

On a personal note. I would like to thank the family and friends who made the effort and took the time to come and visit Bill. Your visits put a smile on his face and meant so very much to him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to those folks.

My Bill was a wonderful, kind and caring human being and he will be missed by so many on so many levels.

Rest in peace my love from your wife Ainslie.

Cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted to Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life that is being held at the Prime Time Club – 1724 Mosley Street, Wasaga Beach on Saturday December 2, 2023 from 1 pm to 3 pm. A reception of sandwiches, coffee and tea will be offered. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill’s name to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital Foundation.
