In Loving Memory of James Fraser (Nov 16, 1956 - Aug 24, 2023)

James Fraser, affectionately known as Jim, Jamie, Jimbo or even Junkyard to those closest to him, passed away on August 24, 2023.

Jim was the cherished son of Dorothy Fraser (predeceased by his father, David Wyckham), a role he embraced with unwavering devotion. His love and care for his mother were a testament to his compassionate and selfless nature. His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in her heart.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Connie, and brother-in-law, Rudy Newton. Whether on the slopes or enjoying apres-ski at the Peaks and Blue, water skiing on Lake Massawippi and Pen Lake, or simply coming together for the holidays, Jim remained a central figure in the lives of Connie and Rudy. His niece and nephew, Kelly Caccamo (Rich) and Jeff Newton, who he adored, fondly remember the good times they had growing up with their witty Uncle Jim. He left an indelible impression through his gruff charm, enthralling stories and seafood dinners. Jim is also survived by his brother, David Fraser, and his family.

As we bid farewell to Jim, let's remember the colourful tapestry of his life. Starting his career in the ski/sporting goods industry, and eventually working at Blue Mountain as the Retail Group Manager, Jim wove many friendships with ease and left a legacy of deep connections. His infectious laughter will be greatly missed, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

In honour of Jim's memory, a Celebration of Life will be held in the fall. This event will serve as an opportunity for all those who knew Jim to gather and pay tribute. Further details regarding the celebration will be provided as the date approaches. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you make a donation to the Heart and Stroke foundation.

On a final note, the family would like to offer their condolences to the Montreal Canadiens, who have lost a true superfan, and will undoubtedly see a dip in merchandise sales this season.
