Died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday September 7, 2023 at her home at the age of 89. Silvina of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of the late Franciso Florindo (2017). Loving mother of Frank Jr. (Marie) and Maria. Vavo will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Chantal (Chris), Tiffany (Michael), Michael (Natalie), Krysta, Siera and Brandon (DeeDee) and by her great grandchildren Mya, Taylor, Michael, Charlotte, Bradley, Kylo and Ava. Silvina is predeceased by her sister Sofia Barreto. She was a kind and loving woman who cherished her family.
Her family are comforted knowing she has been reunited with the love of her life Frank Sr. A special thank you the North Simcoe Muskoka Hospice Palliative Care Network and Bayshore Healthcare for the wonderful care and support they provided to Silvina. Friends will be received by her family at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Tuesday September 12, 2023 from 6 to 9 p.m. Friends are invited to return to the funeral home on Wednesday September 13, 2023 for a reception and luncheon at 11:30 a.m. PRIOR to the Funeral Mass which will be held at St. Noel Chabanel Catholic Church, 133 Dunkerron Avenue, Wasaga Beach at 2 o’clock. Interment to follow at the Wasaga Beach Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
