Passed away peacefully, at his home on Thursday February 1, 2024, in his 88th year.
Allan, devoted husband of the late Margaret Jean (née Uprichard)(1940-2009).
Allan will be remembered by his brother Dalton (Sharon) Fisher, his nephew Eldon (Bailey) Fisher and their daughters Ellie and Addison, as well as numerous nieces and nephews on Jean’s side of the family.
Allan spent his lifetime working the farm that his grandfather built, and over the years never hesitated to share his wisdom and knowledge with anyone who would listen and would often offer a helping hand to those in need, even when his mobility issues limited his physical abilities. You always knew where you stood with Allan, as he spoke his mind freely, never afraid to hurt a feeling or two if it meant getting to the truth. However, this at times harsh surface was belied by the kind, generous heart that lay below.
Allan will now be reunited with his beloved Jean, as well as his lifelong friend Wally Kenwell.
His family will receive friends at the Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood on Friday February 9, 2024 from noon until the service at 2p.m. The Funeral Service will be available by livestream.
