Colleen was the beloved daughter of Margaret “Peggy” Bayley and the late John Ferrgian and big sister to Janet (Mark Lewis) Ferrigan and Mary Jo (Mike) Saunders. She was a proud Aunt to Aidan Saunders, Brooke Saunders and Nina Lewis.
As a child, Colleen loved riding her bike, swimming, playing hide and go seek and learning at home and school. Her sisters were her favourite playmates. She thrived in keeping up with them in all things fun whether it be on the swing set in the backyard, playing Barbies at home, or exploring at the cottage.
Colleen attended Joseph Morrow Park and Don Bosco High Schools in Toronto
In her adult years, Colleen lived at Christian Horizons in Toronto and later became a longtime resident of E3 Community Services in Collingwood where she participated in Special Olympics swimming, baseball and other activities. She was a lifelong lover of 80s music.
Colleen will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.
A service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Collingwood at 1 pm on Friday Jan. 26. If desired, a donation to E3 Community Services, may be made in remembrance of Colleen. Arrangements entrusted to Fawcett Funeral Home - Collingwood.
