In his 88th year, George Arthur Evenden passed onwards peacefully on Tuesday November 30, 2021 in a Hospice near his Wasaga Beach home with some family by his side and in their hearts. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, the late Maureen Evenden, who passed onwards earlier this year.
George was a loving and devoted husband, cherished father, and (great) grandfather, adored brother, son, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He passes on to also join loving parents, George and Miriam Evenden, sister Edith Potter, niece Sarah Potter, and grandson Taylor Nixon in heaven. He is survived by siblings Bruce Evenden (Penny) and Doreen Evenden; daughters Miriam O’Dowda (Rob), Sharon Roberts, and Debbie Nixon (Daniel Beaudoin); son-in-law Mark Roberts, grandchildren Rachel Latkolik (Peter), Stephen Roberts, Christen O’Dowda, Braden O’Dowda, and Trevor Nixon; great grandchildren Hannah and Hailey Latkolik; all his nieces and nephews, long-time friends Tim Gillies and Dave Rozycki; the Williams’ family; Beaudoin family, Webster family and countless other friends and family near and dear to his heart and memories.
