Nancy Maxine Durrant (nee Eagles) was born Dec 29th, 1959 to mother Francis Eagles Phillips (deceased) and father Earl Eagles (deceased) in Collingwood Ontario, loved by her step-father Donald Phillips (deceased), and peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at age 61 on Saturday November 27th, 2021 at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital.

She is survived by her husband John Durrant, son Andrew Durrant, daughter Ashley Durrant (partner William Arteau) and grandchildren Briar & Henry, her aunts Heather McNabb & Dorothy Marshall, uncle Charles Potts, brothers and sisters Linda Wilson (husband Paul Wilson), Charles Eagles (wife Joanne McKendry Eagles (deceased), Donnie Eagles, Paul Eagles (wife Roberta Stroud Eagles), Kim Wright (husband Arthur Wright), Mark Eagles (wife Darlene Devion Eagles), step-sister Tracey Phillips, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The magnificent chain of 7 has now been broken but will always remain strong in Nancy, their beloved sister’s absence.

She will be deeply missed by so many, knowing that the brightest of lights tend to burn the fastest. Our mom always made time for everyone in her life. She had a unique way of being there for you to listen and hear your peace, showing her support and telling you what you needed to hear not always what you may have wanted but always what her heart felt you needed.

Always a light in the darkest of places, our anchor, and our rock for so many of us you will be forever in our hearts and in our thoughts.

A special Thank you to Dr. Quigg and the staff at C.G.M.H along with 911 emergency services for your amazing support and care in Nancy’s final days.

There will be a celebration of life held in the springtime so we can all come together to celebrate her and tell her story. Friends may visit Nancy’s online Book of Memories at www.fawcettfuneralhomes.com
