Sandra J. Dicks (Sandy Bain) born in Hamilton on February 20, 1942
In loving memory of Sandy, who peacefully passed away on March 8, 2024, surrounded by her family. She showed immense bravery throughout her long battle with cancer, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Sandy was cherished by her husband David, his daughters Michelle Turner (Jason) and Allison Diciacca (Adam), nephew Michael Casey (Caroline), their daughter Larkin, and Allison and Adam’s children Noah and Sophie. Sharon Tarr and Fran Harding were special friends who provided wonderful comfort and companionship to her.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Marge Smith, as well as her adored sister Judy Casey.
Memories of summers spent at the Cottage (Red Pine) on Gloucester Pool, winters skiing on Blue Mountain, and later enjoying time in Florida will forever be treasured for the joy they brought, and the friendships formed. Sandy’s sense of humour and laughter remained to the end. She was always positive and courageous, an inspiration to all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held in the coming spring.
