Robert ‘David” Crowe, 67, of Collingwood Ontario passed away unexpectedly on July 18, 2023. He was born Guelph Ontario, August 21st 1956. Dave attended Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute, and was employed at Crowe Foundry, Cambridge Ontario.
Dave is survived by spouse Leisa Burton, Collingwood ON; his 2 sons from previous marriage (Paula Fontinato) and his 2 stepchildren; son Robert Crowe, Guelph ON; son Michael Crowe (Alex Plante-Crowe), Vancouver BC; stepson Trevor Burton (Amy), Pemberton BC; stepdaughter Jennifer Rowsell (Blake), Squamish BC. Grandchildren: grandson Remi Plante-Crowe (2) (Michael & Alex); granddaughters Drea (14) and Cecelia Burton (11) (Trevor & Amy); and grandsons Clark (6) and Roy Rowsell (5) (Jennie & Blake).
He is also survived by sisters Margaret Mizen (Wayne) and Helen Moore (Sterling), brother Eric Crowe (Michelle).
Dave was predeceased by parents Robert and Bernice Crowe, sister Kathy Promoli, brother in laws Mike Promoli (Kathy) and Jim McNally (Helen).
Big Dave had an enormous heart, a wonderful sense of humor and a commanding voice. He loved skiing, fishing, family, making wine & food and socializing with everyone. A celebration of life will be held Friday November 10, 2023 at Osler Bluff Ski Club, Collingwood ON. In lieu of flowers, please send your donations to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital.
