Courtney, Joan Marie (nee Ruthven)
Died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Sunset Manor Long Term Care in Collingwood on Sunday, December 24, 2023 in her 91st year.
Joan, of Wasaga Beach, has been reunited with her devoted husband of over 60 years, Bill. Loving mother of Allen (Mary). Beloved grandmother of Robyn, Brian (Shawna) and Lisa (Dylan). Adoring great-grandmother of Jack, Ben, Sawyer and Graham. Predeceased by her siblings Barbara, Arlene and Jack; she will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Joan was a long-time employee of the Simcoe County District School Board as a custodian. She was an avid card and bingo player, who loved travelling, especially cruises. She had a great sense of humour and was a kind and giving person who adored her family.
Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach for visitation on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 12 noon for the service in the chapel at 1 o’clock.
