Coffin 1

Passed away peacefully on Thursday August 11, 2022, at Barrie Manor in her 83rd year. Nancy, beloved wife of the late Keir Coffin, will be remembered as the proud and loving mother of Chris Fry (Karen Dillon), Cindy (Peter) Atkinson, the late Carrie (Mike) Joseph and Kelly (Jim) Stuckum. Forever cherished by her grandchildren Dean, Owen, Matthew, Tyler, Dylan, Bennett and Zach. Nancy is survived by her sister Dianne (John) Brown and the late David (Lois) Cope and niece Tara Cope. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Nancy had a long successful career as a Registered Nurse, which spanned over a period of 38 years. She adopted many roles over those years, from working as an RN to the Head Nurse of Emergency, she finished her career in management, at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. Upon entering retirement, Nancy continued to be involved in the community as an active member of The Red Hats, Probus and the Nurse’s Alumni. Two of her real passions were the time she spent with her grandchildren and golfing. Nancy was a longtime member of the Blue Mountain Golf and Country Club. Nancy was a dedicated supporter of her grandchildren’s activities and was always in attendance at hockey and soccer games. Nancy also cherished the opportunity to play a round of golf with the kids; it became an annual event.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday August 29, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at the Blue Mountain Golf and Country Club. In lieu of flowers donations to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Friends may visit Nancy’s online Book of Memories at www.fawcettfuneralhomes.com
