CARON, Marlene Cecelia (nee Murphy)

Died peacefully on Tuesday January 16, 2024 at Chapman House Hospice, Owen Sound at the age of 79.  Marlene of Owen Sound, formerly of Cambridge, loving mother of Michael (Tina) and Paul (Megan).  Cherished grandmother of Sky, Mya, Caleb, Carter and Cora. Dear sister of Ed and Vince. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.  Marlene is predeceased by her parents James and Alice, and brother Joe Murphy   Marlene was a long-time employee of Franklin Manufacturing until the plant closure.  She then continued her career as a custodian for the Waterloo region School Board.  Her family thank the Brightshores Health System and everyone at Chapman House for all they have done to better Marlene’s life and for the care during her final days.  Private family arrangements.  If desired, a donation to the Grey Bruce Hospice, Owen Sound would be appreciated by her family.
