Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Sunday October 29, 2023, at Campbell House in his 77th year.
Born in Toronto on September 11, 1947. He was predeceased by his mother Ann Byrne, father Charlie and stepmother Mary Byrne.
Devoted husband of 38 years to Bev, father to Robbie and Mark (Natasha) and grandfather to Mason, Riley, and Keeton.
He is survived by his siblings Tim (Lisa), Susie, Carl, John, and Kay and will be remembered by several nieces and nephews.
Byrnezy had a passion for Drag Racing, before having the boys this is often how he spent his days. He also loved hockey, the Maple Leafs and Tim Horton’s. He was strong-willed, had an enormous heart and wicked sense of humour; he was truly one of a kind. He was happiest when spending time with his sons and grandchildren, whom he was incredibly proud of. He will be missed but never forgotten.
Family will receive friends at the Royal Canadian Legion – Collingwood on Tuesday November 7, 2023, starting at 12 p.m. with tributes at 1 p.m. followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House, Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, or a Hockey Association of your choice.
