Charles William Brough
February 8, 1931 – September 8, 2023
It is with much sadness that we announce that Charles passed away peacefully on Friday September 8, 2023, at Georgian Bay Seniors Lodge in Penetanguishene with family by his side, at the age of 92.
Charles was born in Collingwood February 8, 1931, a son to Violet (nee Martin) and George Brough. He was predeceased by his wife, Peggy (nee Cockell) of 60 years in 2014.
Charles is the loving father of Susan Lloyd (Rick) of Creemore, John (late Linda) of Meaford and Judy Katzman (Robert) of Alliston.
Charles is the proud and loving Grandpa to Laura Chern (Terry), Michelle Pass (Michael), Ben Katzman, Michael Brough, Sarah Hogan (Devin) and Beth Katzman (Chris) and great grandpa to Emily, Hannah, Lucy, and Callan.
Charles is survived by his sister Mary Meaney of Durham. He was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Donald and sister Annie Mae Pearce. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters in law, Jean Hogg of Stayner and Valerie Kilbane of England and many nieces and nephews in Canada, England, and Australia.
Funeral service will be held at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel on Saturday September 16, 2023, at 1 p.m. with reception to follow. Interment at Trinity United Cemetery. Friends may visit Charles’ online Book of Memories at www.fawcettfuneralhomes.com
