Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Sunset Manor Long Term Care in her 90th year.
June, loved wife of the late Donald Boone. Devoted mother of Sharon McCarthy (Ken), the late Dianne Judges (Ted), and Jim Ryan. Loving Grandma of Teresa, Mandie, Jess and Kyle.
Loving Great Grandma to Kendra, Nicolas, Mya, Mike, Claire, Audrey and Jack. Dear sister of Joyce VanRiesen (Tex) and Barry Sowerby. She will be fondly remembered by her family, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her husband Don, infant son Gary Ryan, daughter Dianne Judges, parents William and Evelyn (nee McAllister) Sowerby, sister Lois Gibbings, brother in law Harold Gibbings, and sister in law Roberta Sowerby.
June was born and raised on a farm outside of Goderich. She raised her young family in Goderich until her move to Collingwood.
June was very social and loved music and gathering with family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street Collingwood. As per June’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. Remembrances may be made to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation in her memory.
