Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood on Thursday January 25, 2024 just after celebrating his 83rd birthday. Cherished lifelong friend and husband of over 40 years of the late Pearl Brillinger. Devoted stepfather of Ted King (Liane). Dear brother of Claire Bonin and brother-in-law of Jean Meighan (the late Jim), and the late Lloyd Brillinger (the late Eilleen). Wally will be remembered by his nieces Brenda (Brad), Nancy (Ron), Cathy (Bill), nephew Roger and many great nieces and nephews. Also mourning his passing is his feline companion, Martha. Predeceased by his parents Eva (nee Martell) and Patrick Bona and his 11 brothers and sisters.
Wally attended services and functions at New Life Church. He was a quiet man, avid reader, riding his bicycle and enjoyed watching television. While enjoying time spent with his family, friends and a good game of Sequence.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Wally’s Life will be held on Thursday February 1st, 2024 at 1p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood. Interment Brethren in Christ Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Wally may be made to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House or New Life Church would be appreciated.
