Baxter, Joseph (Joe) Alex
Passed away at Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House on November 30, 2023, a few days after his 77th birthday. Joseph (Joe) of Wasaga Beach and originally of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Beloved Spouse of Olga Yates for over 38 years. Loving father of Rachel Baxter and Patricia (Andrew) Webster. Cherished grandfather of Robert, Alysia, Abby and Jack. Caring brother of Robert (Peggy), Ralph (Norma), Gerard (Mona), and Claire and Joyce. Joe will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
The family would like to say thank you to family and friends who made their way to come to see Joe in his last moments; your presence was a comfort to him. A special thank you to Dr. Peter Holloway and his amazing team of nurses, PSW’s and Volunteers at Bayshore nursing and Campbell House for the extraordinary care, respect and kindness you showed Joe.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Carruthers and Davidson – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West.
