Died peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Sunday March 3, 2024 at her home in her 90th year.  Pat of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of the late Bill (2016).  Loving mother of Patsy (Andrew Jago), Betty Ann (the late Dexter Watters), Mary and Bill Jr. (Sarah).  Cherished grandmother of Danny (Christie) and Jaclyn (Scott) and great grandmother of Abbigale, Noah, Sam, Troy and Craig. Pat is predeceased by her brother Herbie (1951) and her parents Herb (1963) and Verdia (1971).  Pat and Bill were the longtime proprietors of Cedar Grove Park On the Bay, a family business since 1944. They also owned the Drumbeat and Cedar Grove Dance Halls, Cedar Grove Park and Mini Putt.  They loved to dance and to travel together, enjoying over 20 different islands during their lifetime including over 42 visits to St. Kitts, one of her favorites.  Pat was a strong minded businesswoman who believed in her family and her community.  She loved her park community and was a fixture behind her desk in the office every day of the week where she did the business of the park and visited with her customers, many who became like family, generation after generation. Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1934 while her father had employment in the US, she was also proud of her American roots. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.  Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Friday March 8, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. ad 6 to 8 p.m.  the Funeral Service will be held at the Jubilee Presbyterian Church, 7320 Highway 26, Stayner on Saturday March 9, 2024 at 11 o’clock.  Interment Stayner Union Cemetery.
