Died peacefully following a brief illness on Wednesday April 12, 2023 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 80. Jeannette of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of Steve Bard. Loving mother of Jackie (Barry Reid), Carol (Chris Hymas), Rick (Shelagh Starret) and the late Michelle Starret. Dear step-mother of Jeremy (Lisa) Bard and the late Jessica Bard. Cherished grandmother of Jenny (James Taylor), Mark (Amanda) Reid, Matthew (Katie) Reid, Angie (Nat Roy), Rob Starret, Colin (Mel) Faubert, Cameron Faubert and the late Amanda Brown and great grandmother of Lincoln and Lucy Taylor, Thomas, Olivia, Adaline and Charlotte Reid, Finn, Brett and Aveline Roy and Annabelle, Logan and Declan Faubert. Dear sister of Margie, Roy (Debbie), Brian, Danny and the late Walter Leuenberger. Jeannette will also be missed by her countless nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family in Canada and Switzerland as well as her many friends and neighbours. Jeannette was the much loved matriarch of her large blended family. She was an accomplished pastry chef, she loved to tend to her garden and enjoyed travelling and camping. She was proud of her Swiss heritage and loved to travel home to visit family. Her presence at the 4 o’clock happy hour in the gazebo will be deeply missed by her family, friends and neighbours. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Saturday April 15, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. for the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 o’clock.
