Theresa Frances Armitage of Collingwood, passed away peacefully on Friday December 4, 2020 at Campbell House Hospice in her 96th year. Born in Langham, Saskatchewan on April 17, 1925 to parents John Armitage and Kathleen Simmons. Survived by her niece Sharon (George) Burkholder, nephews John (Cathy) Paisley and Patrick (Colleen) Paisley. Theresa is survived by many great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, sisters Mary Armitage and Nora Paisley and brother-in-law Earl Paisley. Theresa worked as a Registered Nurse for the local medical clinic in Collingwood. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Friends will be received at Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood on Tuesday, December 8 from 11:30a.m. to 12:30p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 63 Elgin Street, Collingwood on Tuesday at 1 o’clock. Capacity is limited due to Covid-19 restrictions. Please use the RSVP system on the funeral home website to schedule your visit and if you plan to remain for the ceremony. Please register for BOTH a visitation time AND the Funeral Mass if you intend to participate in both events. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society or Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House would be appreciated by Theresa’s family.
