Arezes, Valentim (Val),
Born in Portugal, March 24, 1942, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Campbell House Hospice – Collingwood while surrounded by his loving partner Lorraine Fines, 3 daughters and grandchildren. He left this world to join his late wife Maria Das Dores Arezes. His love and memories will live on through his daughters Vitoria, Teresa and Rosa, as well as his grandchildren, Peter Synowicki (Noelle), Andrew Synowicki (Katelin), Catarina Sa and Gonçalo Sa. Val’s legacy of love, humour and kindness will continue to inspire us all. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 10:00am to 11:45am at Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Church, 215 Pine Street on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 12pm (noon). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation– Campbell House or the Wasaga Beach Food Bank in Val’s memory.
