GREY BRUCE SPIRITUAL CARE COUNCIL

Have you ever been in hospital, afraid, unsure of what was next, without a friend or family member at your side?
Many people have experienced this loneliness over the past two years during the COVID pandemic. But when families and visitors were not allowed in hospital, the spiritual care providers were at the bedside offering that non-anxious, multi-faith, spiritual companionship, meaning, comfort and strength.
They were there making a difference each and every day, as part of the professional heath care teams nursing patients back to health.
Spiritual Care Providers offer care in all six Grey Bruce Health Services Hospitals, the four South Bruce Grey Health Centre Hospitals, Hanover and District Hospital and the Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce.
Grey Bruce Spiritual Care Council is excited to announce a winter Fundraiser: We Care – We Walk. This event will support the work of our spiritual care providers.
For the month of February 2022 Spiritual Care Providers and supporters will be walking, snowshoeing, skiing, skating, running and collecting pledges for distances or time.
All funds raised will go directly to the Council so that spiritual care providers can continue to support patients in hospital, hospice, and at home with an amazing 96 cents of every dollar going to patient care. All donations of $20 or more receive an income tax receipt.
