The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise the public that the mobile rideshare application, Uber is now available within the Town of The Blue Mountains.
Yesterday, the Town received confirmation from senior representatives at Uber that the technical error within the software has been fixed.
“I would like to extend my gratitude to Town staff for their persistence in working with Uber to address the need and to correct the issue” explained Chief Administrative Officer, Shawn Everitt. “The availability of transportation is a key economic development priority for the Town and Uber will help to address the need within the community.”
Residents are reminded that since Uber has not been available within the Town of The Blue Mountains, it will take time for drivers to become regularly available. If you are interested in registering as a driver, please visit: www.uber.com/ca/en/drive
