Collingwood Museum staff is putting the finishing touches on this summer’s lineup of heritage-based summer programs. Again this summer, children ages 6-12 will have the opportunity to travel the world, jump through time, and get up close and personal with nature without leaving Collingwood.

Museum programs are unique, as they run twice daily, in convenient three-hour morning and afternoon sessions between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., and 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday in July and August. At $12 per program, you can’t go wrong! Museum members receive the reduced enrollment fee of $10 per program.

Each week offers an exciting theme of connected programs. In Exciting Exploration, participants create passports to document the reaches of their imaginations. Time Warp participants will tango through the 20s, twist around the 60s, and rock out in the 80s. In Digging up the Past, participants become museum detectives in their search for hidden treasures. Other weekly themes include Art Attack, Forest Rangers, Museum Secrets, Let’s Celebrate, and Down by the Bay.

With 30 different programs, there is something for everyone. Each program incorporates hands-on crafts, interactive group-based games, and storytelling to encourage participants to get excited about history and the world around them. Museum programs also a great opportunity for participants to meet and make new friends.

Spaces are limited, so don’t delay. Enroll today!

To register, call 705-444-2500, email [email protected], or visit the Centennial Aquatic Centre at 451 Third Street. Check out the Collingwood Museum’s website for a full listing of available programs.
