Jazz and Blues Live at the Station kicks off its annual summer concert season tonight with a performance by Sol De Cuba and Pablo Terry.

This evening’s concert will celebrate Cuban Salsa culture with music and dancing.

The concerts take place each Wednesday evening at The Station Park (45 St. Paul Street) from now through August 21.
The events are free and families are welcome. Guests are invited to bring their own lawn chair, and the site is fully accessible.

Donations are welcome, and all proceeds raised go to local school music programs through the South Georgian Bay Music Foundation.

The summer schedule includes Georgian Big Sound (June 26), Mike McCarthy Band (July 3), Bay City Soul Lisa Hutchinson’s Band (July 10), Boomerang (July 17), Memphis Jones Band (July 24), Horseshoes and Handgrenades, with Emma Wright (July 31), Turbo Street Funk (Aug. 7), Weber Brothers (Aug. 14), and Austin McCarthy (Aug. 21).

There will be live music from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and since the event is outdoors, guests are encouraged to dress for the weather.

Tonight’s event also includes food and beverages for sale including beer, wine, and cider, cold-pressed juice, barbecue sausages, gluten-free and vegan desserts, and ice cream.

In the event of rain, tonight’s concert will move to the Harbour Street Fish Bar (Cranberry Mews). Watch the South Georgian Bay Music Foundation Facebook page for venue information on rain dates throughout the summer.
