Three face a slew of drug charges

Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU), with the assistance of front line members of the Collingwood/The Blue Mountains OPP, recently arrested three individuals and laid numerous charges related to a drug offences investigation.

On Aug. 8, 2018 at approximately 4:30 p.m., OPP CSCU members observed a wanted male in a vehicle in a parking lot on Balsam Street in Collingwood. Upon proceeding to the arrest of the male officers located controlled substances which resulted in the arrest of two more male parties. They were all taken into custody and transported to detachment for processing and their vehicle was towed to detachment to continue the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, officers seized a small amount of cocaine, 14 grams of purple coloured fentanyl, approximately $950 in cash and laid a slew of charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act as well as the Criminal Code.

Charged are:

Forty-one-year-old Raymond Blencowe of Collingwood, he is charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance - heroin
  • Possession of a schedule I substance - cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance - other drugs

He is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on Sept. 4, 2018.

Forty-year-old Ryan Scott of Wasaga Beach, he is charged with

  • Possession of a schedule I substance - heroin
  • Possession of a schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - heroin
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid (other than heroin)
  • Traffic in schedule I substance - heroin
  • Traffic in schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin)

He was held for bail court on the date of the arrest at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie. 

Thirty-nine-year-old Jason Nacinovich of Barrie, he is charged with

  • Carrying concealed weapon
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Possession of a schedule I substance - heroin
  • Possession of a schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - heroin
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid (other than heroin)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance - cocaine
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Traffic in schedule I substance - heroin
  • Traffic in schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin)
  • Traffic in schedule I substance - cocaine

 He was held for bail court on the date of the arrest at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie.
