Collingwood's town council meeting scheduled for tonight has been cancelled and agenda items postponed.

11:10 a.m. update

The Collingwood Public Library will be closed all day. 

Blue Mountain and Wasaga transit link are now operational, but expect delays due to weather.

There won't be much to do except for shovelling snow in Collingwood today. 

The Collingwood Public library is closed until at least 1 p.m. due to weather. 

Staff plan to reassess at 1 p.m. to decide whether or not to open today. 

Collingwood recreation facilities including the Centennial Aquatic Centre, Collingwood Museum, Eddie Bush Arena, and Central Park Arena are closed. 

All school buses in Simcoe County have been cancelled, and schools in Collingwood are closed. 

Garbage collection has been cancelled in Simcoe County. Those who missed collection today may put out double next week. 

So far, the in-town transit routes are still operating in Collingwood, but the links to Wasaga Beach and Collingwood are not running. 

Highway 26 has been closed in areas, including between Meaford and Thornbury and a portion between Stayner and Barrie. Road conditions reports on 511.on.ca report reduced visibility on all area roads. There is currently snow squall, blizzard, extreme cold and wind warnings, and blowing snow advisories in effect for all of Ontario.

Town of Collingwood snowplows have been working through the night and continue to clear local roads.
