TBM Town Hall closed on Civic Holiday

The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise residents of upcoming service changes due to the Civic Holiday.

Town hall

Town hall will be closed on Monday, Aug. 7, 2023, for the Civic Holiday. Town hall will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023.

Waste collection

Curbside waste collection will occur as usual on Monday, Aug. 7, 2023, and for the remainder of the week. Operations staff have provided additional reminders regarding collection:

Bag limit weekly
- Residential: The first bag is free, a second bag requires one tag, and a third bag requires two tags. A fourth bag is not permitted.
- Non-residential: The first bag is free, and a second bag requires one tag. A third bag is not permitted.
Household battery collection will occur from Sept. 4 to 29, 2023 on your regular day of collection. More information on household battery recycling can be found here.
Curbside yard waste collection runs Oct. 23 to Nov. 17, 2023 on your regular day of collection. Maximum 10 bags, or containers (without a lid) per week.
Garbage, compost and recycling must be curbside by 7 a.m.
All material placed in your garbage and compost must be bagged.
Sort the grey and blue recycling bins according to the Waste Resource Guide.
Cardboard is flattened, cut into 18-by-24-inch size and placed next to your recycle bins.
Ensure your garbage box full/empty tab is visible to the collection company.
Solid Waste Disposal Site hours: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
