The South Georgian Bay Music Foundation presented a donation to the music department at Stayner Collegiate Institute (SCI) earlier this month.
Keri Forrester, SCI music teacher, and some of her music students accepted the donation of $1,500 toward the school’s music program.
The South Georgian Bay Music Foundation hosts Jazz and Blues at the Station through the summer as well as other music shows to raise money in support of music education in the South Georgian Bay area including Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Stayner, Thornbury, and Meaford.
The Foundation relies on donations and ticket sales to continue its mandate of furthering music education opportunities in the region. To find out more about South Georgian Bay Music Foundation, click here.
