Proceeds from a Living Water Resorts September 2021 Sticks and Stones combined golf and curling tournament, along with proceeds from the Cranberry Business League, was donated to Breaking Down Barriers earlier today. Warren Smith, Executive Vice President for Living Water Resorts presented Teresa Gal, Executive Director for Breaking Down Barriers, Jim Ironside, Breaking Down Barriers’ Board Chair and Alex Ballah, Breaking Down Barriers Board Director with a cheque in the amount of $8,019.

“Throughout this pandemic and in the face of challenges resulting from COVID-19, our community once again came together in support of a local charity”, says Warren Smith.

“Living Water Resorts believes in giving back and by organizing a unique weekend Sticks and Stones tournament adhering to proper COVID protocols, allowed individuals to safely participate in it and their regular league all in support of an important charity in the community”, adds Smith. “We are thrilled to be able to present Breaking Down Barriers with this donation so they can continue to provide the programs and services individuals with disabilities in our community rely on”.

The three-day event took place Sept. 24, 25 and 26, 2021 at Cranberry Golf Course, owned by Living Water Resorts in Collingwood, Ont.

This generous donation will go a long way in helping us meet those challenges ensuring all programs, services and supports individuals with diverse disabilities need are available to them.
